Areeb Zuaiter is a filmmaker based in Washington, D.C., focusing on art, identity, and social issues. Her films have won multiple awards, including Stained and Colors of Resistance. She has worked with the Associated Press, Smithsonian, and the Royal Film Commission – Jordan, and currently heads programming at AIFF.

Basel Mawlawi is a Swedish-Syrian producer, currently leading Kinana Films in Malmö, specialising in content across Sweden, Europe, and MENA region. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Middlesex University and a Professional Diploma in Film Production from SAE Institute. His latest production Yalla Parkour, premiere at Berlinale and won best documentary at DOC NYC. Additionally, Basel contributes as a creative producer at the European Writers Club, designing the Bridging Generations 2025 program which aimed at experienced TV series writers across Europe.

Head of Documnetary And International relations at Film I skåne Lisa Nyed

As Head of documentary film at the regional film fund Film i Skåne, Lisa executively produces co-productions of documentaries of all lengths and formats. She also counsels on distribution strategies and talent development initiatives. Moreover, she oversees Film i Skåne’s international collaborations and represents the fund in international networks such as Cine Regio, where she runs the Docu Regio subgroup, and in the Advisory Board of European Writers Club (EWC). Lisa is an EAVE graduate, an ICF graduate coach and has served on several festival juries, selection committees, and development workshops. She did her BA in Film and communication science at Lund – and Copenhagen Universities and Master studies at Concordia University in Montréal.
