In Ancient Phoenicia, an old man, Abdeshmun, is conned into believing that he had sinned by treating a man as his work-donkey for many years, as one of the con-men steals his donkey behind his back and the other pretends to be his donkey. Abdeshmun seeks guidance from his wife and village priest to find forgiveness from the Gods to redeem himself of his sins.
