Continuing the tour to Luleå brought us to surprisingly warmer weather. Again we were met by happy festival goers and the town councillor Lenita Ericson gave a beautiful speech welcoming us. Here we also enjoyed a local musicians tunes and food from a local restaurant before watching the opening film “Nawara”. Our special guests during the festival were the producers Widad Shafakoj and Mariakenzi Lahlou and both took part in seperate Q&As the following day. The second day started with two movies exclusive for invited school classes. Following that we had the short films, documentaries, seminair and Q&As. The evening was ended with a mingel, with more music, food and features!
Folkets Bio Royal is a cozy and classic space, this festival had an intimate and warm feeling. We really enjoyed our time here and think that the festival was a success!
