Synopsis:
Fatima, my mother, is over 80 years old. She’s looking for a copy of an old American Movie called “Son of Solam” in which she claims to have played the lead role when she was only 14 years old. Fatima says that her name in the film was “Sa’adah”, a Bedouin girl in love with a young man from the village of peasants who she ends up marrying.
Looking for Sa’adah is the journey to find the film through my mother’s individual memory, an essential part of our people’s collective memory.
