Synopsis

Asma and Sarah, two women originally from the Levant, find themselves working in the same restaurant in the city of Lyon in France. Both bear the weight of a home they were forced to leave behind. Initially wary of each other, they gradually discover a common thread that binds them – one that dates back to when the Silk Road connected Lyon to their home countries.

In the midst of forced migrations, can we move past our animosity to find solace in each other?

MICHELLE KESERWANY AND NOEL KESERWANY

Michelle and Noel Keserwany are Lebanese writers and filmmakers known for their satirical music videos that criticize the Lebanese corrupt political system. Michelle co-wrote Capernaum with Nadine Labaki and she is now developing her first feature film, Amara,a satirical drama staged in Beirut.Noel is developing SMSS,an animated 

short film,grantee of the DFI, based on an unpublished novel by Emily Nasrallah.They are also developing Slow Burn,a lebanese documentary produced by Special Touch Studios.Les Chenilles is their debut film as directors.
