The year 2023 marks the 9th edition of the MAFF Industry Days (MID), a festival initiative dedicated to the film industry. MID is globally recognized as the first platform for co-production and collaboration between the Arab world and the Nordic region. Within the framework of MID, the MAFF Industry Days Development Fund offers financial support in three distinct categories: Feature Fiction Development, Documentary Development, and Short Development.
The MAFF Development Fund focuses on assisting film projects that are in the development phase. It operates through a pitch competition, where filmmakers present their projects to a jury comprising experts and film professionals. The purpose of this competition is to provide filmmakers with the opportunity to secure development support for their projects. In the year 2023, a total of 13 film projects were pitched to the jury during the MID event.
