Yahya, a forty-year-old obituary editor, lives a marginal, suspended life. After misspelling the name of a deceased Sufi sheikh, he receives a phone call from the sheikh himself asking to meet. The community believes him and declares him chosen.
Faith grants him recognition and belonging, but as the journey unfolds, ascent turns into a quiet fall, exposing human fragility, the hunger for validation, and the seduction of false certainty.

Abdelwahab Shawky
Abdelwahab Shawky is an Egyptian filmmaker who worked for over ten years as an assistant director with leading figures including Hatem Ali, Khaled Marei, Yousry Nasrallah, and Amjad Abu Alala.
He directed his debut short The Last Miracle, selected to open El Gouna, later banned, and finally premiered at CIFF to strong critical and audience acclaim.
