Tattoo

About the Film

Alice lives in a state of perpetual escape, haunted by shadows that are literally etched into her skin. In a dense, misty Swedish forest, the boundary between reality and nightmare begins to blur as she finds herself pursued by more than just memories.

The tattoos covering her body are not mere ink; they are the living manifestations of a traumatic past—whispers of an oppressive uncle and the weight of a life she tried to leave behind. As the pressure of the hunt intensifies, Alice’s body becomes a canvas for a surreal struggle. The ink pulses with a life of its own; a butterfly on her wrist yearns for flight, while darker, serpentine shapes coil around her identity.

In this psychological thriller, the physical world and the subconscious collide. Alice must confront the terrifying reality that her scars are transforming. To survive the pursuit and reclaim her soul, she faces a final, surreal metamorphosis. She must decide if she will remain a victim of her history or shed her human skin to embrace a formidable, new form of freedom. ‘Tattoo’ is a cinematic exploration of trauma’s physical presence and the visceral, often painful journey of self-liberation.
