Told through the eyes of a twelve-year-old girl confronted by a life changing experience, FARHA is the story of what a family goes through to protect the life and dignity of their daughter, as their village is massacred to create a new state.
To her credit are five award winning short films including “Still Alive” (2010) and “The Dark Outside” (2012), which received multiple awards and screened in internationally acclaimed film festivals worldwide. Her latest short fiction film “The Parrot” (2016), a joint writing/directing project, received the 2015 Film Prize of the Robert Bosch Stiftung and premiered at 2016 Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). More recently, it received two jury awards from Twin Cities and Malmo Arab Film Festivals 2017.
