Arab Women Film Days 2026

Arab Women Film Days Malmö 2026 will take place on October 2–3 at Panora Cinema. The programme consists of feature films and short films, as well as talks, meetings and opportunities to mingle with guests and audiences.

This year’s edition presents feature film screenings in collaboration with Panora Cinema, as part of our ongoing partnership and joint commitment to highlighting quality cinema and creating new film experiences for audiences in Malmö.

The first seed of what would become Arab Women Film Days was planted in 2015, as a way to mark International Women’s Day. The initiative was very well received and eventually developed into a mini-festival of its own. Arab Women Film Days was created to highlight the richness and diversity of films by and about Arab women, and to empower women in an industry still largely dominated by men. The festival aims to showcase film projects with strong female representation in all aspects of production — both behind and in front of the camera.
