The year 2026 marks the 12th edition of MAFF Industry Days (MID), a leading professional platform dedicated to strengthening collaboration between the Arab world and the Nordic region. Since its launch, MID has grown into a vital meeting place for filmmakers, producers, distributors, film institutions, and industry professionals seeking opportunities for co-production, networking, knowledge exchange, and long-term partnerships.
In the 2026 edition, the MAFF Industry Days Development Fund expanded its support to both feature-length and short film projects. Through pitching sessions, professional consultations, and jury evaluations, the platform provided filmmakers with financial opportunities and industry guidance to advance their projects while fostering new collaborations between Arab and Nordic production companies.
The 2026 edition presented a diverse professional program featuring panel discussions, seminars, case studies, presentations, networking sessions, and pitching forums. A total of 213 accredited filmmakers, producers, film professionals, and industry experts participated in the event, representing production companies, film institutes, festivals, distributors, and cultural organizations from Scandinavia, Europe, and the Arab world.
Celebrating its 12th anniversary, MAFF Industry Days continues to strengthen cultural and professional exchange between the Arab and Nordic film industries, support emerging and established filmmakers, and contribute to the international visibility and sustainable development of cinema from both regions.
