The year 2024 marks the 10th edition of MAFF Industry Days (MID), a key professional platform dedicated to strengthening cooperation between the Arab world and the Nordic region. Over the years, MID has established itself as an essential meeting point for filmmakers, producers, and industry institutions seeking opportunities for co-production, networking, and cultural exchange.
Through its Development Fund and Post-Production Platform, MID provides financial support and professional guidance to film projects in both development and final production stages. These programs operate through pitch sessions, expert evaluations, and closed screenings, giving filmmakers the chance to secure support and expand their industry partnerships.
The 2024 edition offered a rich program of panel discussions, workshops, case studies, pitching labs, one-to-one expert meetings, and networking sessions. A total of 3223 participants joined the event physically and digitally, alongside 227 accredited professionals and 45 invited industry guests, reflecting the growing international reach of MID and its role in promoting Malmö and Skåne as dynamic film hubs.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, MAFF Industry Days continues to support emerging and established Arab and Nordic filmmakers, foster creative collaboration, and contribute to the global visibility of cinema from both regions.
