The festival also continued its industry platform, Malmö Industry Days (MID), bringing together filmmakers, producers, financiers, and industry professionals from the Arab world and the Nordic countries to foster co-productions, professional networking, and the development of new film projects.
During this edition, the Saudi filmmaker Abdullah Al-Muhaisen was honoured in recognition of his pioneering contribution to Saudi and Arab cinema. The festival also presented a special screening of his acclaimed documentary Assassination of a City (1977), followed by a masterclass where he reflected on his distinguished career and the evolution of filmmaking in the region.
