MAFF 2027

The 17th edition of the Malmö Arab Film Festival (MAFF) will take place from 23 to 29 April 2027 in Malmö, Sweden. As Scandinavia’s leading festival dedicated to Arab cinema, MAFF continues to serve as a dynamic platform for cultural dialogue, artistic exchange, and the celebration of contemporary Arab filmmaking.

Since its establishment, the festival has built a strong international reputation by presenting outstanding films from across the Arab world while creating meaningful encounters between filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences. Through screenings, discussions, industry activities, and cultural events, MAFF fosters greater understanding between cultures and strengthens the role of cinema as a bridge for dialogue and inclusion.
